Justien Lescouhier once again brings us a beautiful project, a soft colour palette assures a timeless atmosphere that brings complete relaxation to the residents. In the heart of Heule, a village in the province of West Flanders, our partner has left her mark on a residence where the transformation of spaces not only serves an aesthetic purpose, but also offers a sublime experience of openness and security.
To design a home that perfectly fits the client's lifestyle, as an interior designer you need to understand what the residents' lives are like. By listening carefully to them, Justien Lescouhier knows how to create projects that evoke visual tranquillity. Materials with a soul play an important role in this. We would like to take you to her most recent project. The floor plan went through a thoughtful optimisation, with open living spaces creating an all-encompassing sense of space. The choice of a colour palette that breathes peace and harmony through soft, neutral tones, became the guiding principle and contributes to a timeless serenity. The materials, from light wood veneers to natural stone, were also chosen with precision, resulting in an environment that invites relaxation. To enhance the desired space and openness, the design team revised the layout. From the seating area, a beautiful panorama of the fireplace and garden opens up, not only increasing the space but also embracing a sense of security. Authentic fireplace elements are harmoniously integrated with contemporary design elements, embracing functionality and aesthetics. 
The dining table, which was placed centrally, connects residents to the lively energy of the living room, the fireplace, the garden and the kitchen. Thanks to the openness and unity between different zones, cosiness is promoted and togetherness is enhanced. The kitchen is the true showpiece, offering not only a visual spectacle with a view of the garden, but also a thoughtful ergonomic layout. Retractable cabinet doors preserve the clean lines, while an additional seating area in the kitchen provides an ideal place for intimate moments of breakfast or lunch. In addition, the bathroom embodies tranquillity and harmony. The 'his and hers' washbasin cabinet, a central bench seat and a thoughtful storage solution by the bath are evidence of a balanced design. Ambient lighting creates the ideal relaxing atmosphere, while the shower is cleverly designed with a tidy appearance in mind.

This project integrating the needs and wishes of residents is of great importance. They translate your daily life into a design that fits seamlessly. In this particular project, they masterfully merged the client's living environment with their vision. The result is a harmonious blend of functionality and beauty that makes you feel truly at home as a resident. Here, everything revolves around simple lines, natural elements, and a cosy atmosphere. They have perfected the interplay between the space, the resident and the design to perfection.
