Several years ago, JOE Design Studio began a journey towards realising dreams, guided by the vision and passion of Jody Eeckhout. This studio is more than just a name; it is a dedication to creating high-end residential interiors that reflect the heart and soul of private clients. With a wealth of experience and a deep knowledge of interior architecture, he explored the world of design before founding his own studio.
JOE Design Studio embodies timeless, warm minimalism: a design philosophy that brings calm and sophistication to the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. It is an approach that proves that less is often more, and that the harmony between space and aesthetics can create an environment in which clients can fully immerse themselves. With a focus on using and combining natural materials, personal stories and the profound needs of their clients, the studio embraces the concept of 'design thinking'. This means that each project is approached with a unique vision rooted in the residents’ desires and lifestyle. The result is a bespoke ambience that caresses the senses and creates a sense of serenity.
Time stands still here
In all their projects, timeless and natural materials shine as a common thread, making time stand still, so to speak. JOE Design Studio aims to offer people a haven where they can escape the hustle and bustle of the world and completely unwind. A wonderful example of their masterpiece is the merged penthouse in residence Elysia Park in Edegem. Here, they converted the wishes of an art lover into a warm canvas where art takes on new meaning. The floor is a solid oak parquet that exudes elegance and warmth. This floor flows seamlessly into the joinery and panelling, albeit in a smoked variant, creating a sense of continuity and harmony. Moreover, they have used a limestone technique on walls and ceilings, combined with solid travertine elements and sublime accents in brushed stainless steel. The result is an immersive environment where art and design come together in perfect harmony. The large windows bring out the subtle hand-scraped relief, while the soft light falls on the floor. In the relaxation area, this concept is reversed, where the joinery is in natural oak, the table in solid smoked oak, and the stainless steel accents are in a patinated finish. In doing so, the studio creates an intriguing contrast to the other spaces, testifying to their ability to give each project its own identity. JOE Design Studio is not just a studio; it is a promise to clients to bring their vision to life and create an environment that captures the essence of timeless, warm minimalism. Here is where beauty, functionality and personality come together, and where dreams become reality.
