HW Studio, founded in 2018 in Morelia, Mexico, at a time of social unrest, strives to promote peace and serenity through architecture. Their designs are steeped in Eastern and Western philosophies and strive to create a sense of calm and stillness in an increasingly noisy world. Through conscious contemplation and meditation in the design process, HW Studio seeks to create architecture that calms the mind and offers peace to those who experience it. In short, their work invites reflection and contemplation, finding small moments of peace amid the chaos of modern life. 
Stone, as a deeply rooted element in Mexican culture, served as the natural choice for this architectural masterpiece. With respect for the environment, the design was realised in dialogue with local materials and craftsmanship, resulting in a symbiosis between the artwork and its surroundings. The complex is steeped in symbolism, organised around a cruciform plan that divides the space into four quadrants. Each quadrant fulfils a specific role, ranging from welcoming residents to accommodating cars, and from providing private spaces to housing the office. This layout invites a pilgrimage between spaces, encouraging residents to connect with the natural elements of earth, sky and mountain.

Besides striving for aesthetic beauty, the oasis also embraces an ethos of sustainability and environmental awareness. By using local materials and energy-efficient design principles, the design team has created a home that is not only in harmony with its surroundings, but also contributes to protecting the environment.
