From March 13 to 16, 2025, the iconic Vanderborght building in Brussels will once again be transformed into a vibrant hub of innovation and creativity for the eighth edition of COLLECTIBLE. This leading international fair for contemporary design brings together designers, galleries, and collectors, providing a platform for groundbreaking creations at the intersection of art and functional design. With its roots in the Belgian capital, COLLECTIBLE has grown into a transatlantic event with a strong international presence.
What sets COLLECTIBLE apart from traditional fairs is its exclusive focus on contemporary design, with a particular emphasis on unique and limited-edition pieces. The fair was founded with the mission of pushing the boundaries of the design landscape and highlighting the most innovative and experimental works. Each year, the event attracts a diverse audience, including collectors, curators, architects, and design enthusiasts in search of pieces with undeniable artistic and conceptual value. COLLECTIBLE collaborates closely with leading design galleries, independent studios, and emerging talents. This year’s edition once again presents a broad selection of both established and up-and-coming names, with a strong focus on innovative materials, artisanal techniques, and sustainable production processes. By curating this dynamic mix, COLLECTIBLE offers a forward-thinking perspective on the future of design and interiors. Beyond its exhibitors, the fair also places great importance on collaboration with institutions and experts. Curators and design professionals play an active role in selecting participants and shaping the event, ensuring that visitors experience a high-quality and surprising selection. The fair features a wide range of international participants alongside key Belgian designers. In the MAIN section, visitors will find talents such as Stéphanie Frederickx and Belgian designer and furniture maker Dirk Meylaerts, while Atelier Jaspers and Galerie Alain Hens are highlighted in the DIALOGUE section. Additionally, Maarten De Ceulaer will showcase his work in the BESPOKE section.
With its upcoming edition, the COLLECTIBLE Design Fair once again reaffirms its status as one of the most cutting-edge and inspiring design fairs in Europe
One of COLLECTIBLE’s key pillars is its support for emerging talent and recent design initiatives. The NEW GARDE section provides a platform for young designers and recently founded studios to present their work to an international audience, allowing them to connect with collectors, professionals, and the press. This exposure often leads to further collaborations and recognition within the design world. Meanwhile, the BESPOKE section highlights independent design studios that specialize in custom-made pieces, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, experimental production methods, and the designers’ unique visions. COLLECTIBLE also recognizes the impact and legacy of design history. This is reflected in the DIALOGUE section, where galleries are invited to exhibit not only contemporary works but also pieces from the 1980s and 1990s, offering visitors a broader perspective on the evolution of design.
The fair partners with a diverse range of cultural and commercial organizations that support this unique celebration of contemporary design. These collaborations enable COLLECTIBLE to expand its influence and reach, making a growing impact on the international design scene. With its upcoming edition, the fair once again solidifies its reputation as one of Europe’s most progressive and inspiring design fairs. Visitors can expect a carefully curated selection of groundbreaking designs that seamlessly blend tradition and innovation. More than just an exhibition, COLLECTIBLE serves as a platform for discussion and reflection on the evolution of design in the 21st century.
