Alice & Fifth is an exclusive, luxurious nightclub in Johannesburg, South Africa. The beautiful club was designed by Tristan Plessis who brought to a perfect conclusion Milk & Honey Group SA's brief to create "a lush and decadent space with a raw, underground edge."
Tristan Plessis Studio dressed the space chic and sophisticated while creating a robust look. "I was inspired by the sumptuous cabaret clubs of the past in Paris and New York. I brought this into the contemporary world of African luxury with, for example, elements such as the wall panels that bend to the ceiling as a twist on traditional aesthetics," says Plessis. They also used rich velvet and rare marbles to infuse the space with colour. For that, the studio created a dramatic backdrop with handmade, dark, wooden wall panels, curved panels and visible raw, concrete columns.
A nightclub in ‘Africa’s richest square mile’.
Alice & Fifth is an avant-garde location where you can enjoy a luxurious dinner or a delicious drink in a retro interior with both masculine and refined touches. The club attracts many local visitors as well as an international audience of businessmen, politicians and those who want to spend an adventurous night in the South African city. Ideal for an evening of lush luxury. This 'luxury status' is confirmed by the club's location: Sandton Sun on the corner of Alice Lane and 5th Street. The Sandton area is known as 'Africa's richest square mile' and is South Africa's most important financial and business district. This bar fits perfectly between the skyscrapers and luxury businesses.
