Sometimes an element can integrate you so much that you cannot help but let it guide your entire path. This is what Elena and Tony Bazant of the Russian Pinehouse design studio did when they discovered a beautiful imposing arch in a St Petersburg, Russia property. They let their hearts speak and decided to continue the soft, rounded shapes of the arch in the other rooms of the project.
Velvet shapes, muted materials and natural elements. These are the ingredients with which Elena and Tony Bazant bring their new project to life. The round shapes are continued not only in the windows, but also in the entire design of the interior: soft round seats, voluminous lampshades and subtly curved armrests. No excess, but a nicely balanced harmony of curves. Wooden and stone elements complete the picture. When the sun shines in, the soft materials come into their own by leaving a caramel-coloured sheen. 
The desk space reflects well what Pinehouse is aiming for: a soft interior with rounded shapes. According to the design studio, you can sometimes achieve so much more in a space if you remove certain things instead of adding them, such as a corner of a table top. Curves are also respected in the seating area. This zone invites you to have a relaxed conversation while enjoying a beautiful view of the forest. In addition, the children's room is proof that even such spaces can radiate calm and relaxation.
A nicely balanced harmony of curves
Although the dining room does respect the rule of curves, it still stands out. That is because inspiration for this room was taken from a painting that clients brought back from Bali. Pinehouse has an eye for the personal like no other. That is why they decided to add a wabi sabi atmosphere only in the dining room, an aesthetic that deliberately plays with rough textures. This is evident, for example, in the lampshade that occupies the space. The imposing lamp radiating a warm glow breaks with the softness of the surrounding elements. 
The warm, natural tones of this new project make you feel safe. An incentive-free, stress-free environment with a green touch, that is what everyone should be able to enjoy. For this reason, like to let you dream away at the beautiful images of this design.
