- Interior
In the heart of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Katz Studio created an apartment that feels like a softly enveloping universe, where music, materials and light combine to create an almost poetic atmosphere. The interior was designed as an intimate retreat, imbued with warm nuances and a tangible softness. For a resident with a deep passion for music, the design interweaves a muted, cinematic ambiance with a careful selection of noble materials and subtle contrasts between wood, stone and raw steel. Every detail contributes to an environment where rhythm, silence and form flow naturally into one another.
The living room is the beating heart of the flat, a space that invites contemplation, sharing and listening. The imposing stone fireplace anchors the living space and forms the warm centre around which the rest of the architecture breathes. On either side, two vintage Liaigre tables reinforce the symmetry and tranquillity of the space. The large modular cream-coloured seating stretches along the wide windows, filtered by linen curtains that soften the light and give the whole a soft glow. The carefully selected furniture adds excitement and character: Gaetano Pesce's sculptural La Mamma armchair with its bold stripes, and the soft pink bouclé armchair, which with its rounded shapes provides a serene counterpart. A solid wood coffee table with sensually rounded lines anchors the composition, resting on a dark wood floor that lends depth and intimacy to the whole.

The custom-made bar and music corner is the signature feature of the project: an inviting cocoon of smoked eucalyptus veneer, accentuated by vertical slats. This space serves as both a showcase for vinyl collections and a meeting place. The library, also designed by Katz Studio, accommodates records, books and art objects, while a graphic steel partition gives structure to the whole without closing off the space. Sculptural wooden stools reinforce the inviting character of this musical enclave.
Further on, the kitchen offers a play of contrasts and refinement: deep burgundy lacquer, smoked wood and a subtle travertine worktop create an elegant harmony. The dining area, with a vintage Liaigre table and carefully curated works of art, exudes the same understated luxury—where light, wood and art engage in a silent dialogue. In the bedroom, this serene atmosphere continues in warm tones, soft textures and iconic vintage pieces, such as Joe Colombo's Elda armchair.
This flat is more than a living space; it is a carefully composed universe, a timeless experience in which materials, light and music merge into pure, understated elegance.
