Le Belvédère is a unique restaurant nestled in the serene nature near Crillon-Le-Brave, in Provence. This exceptional restaurant, with its 200 seats, offers guests not only a high-level culinary experience but also a breathtaking view of the imposing Mont Ventoux. Managed by the Vertigo group, pioneers of Parisian bistronomy, the venue is renowned for its exemplary product sources and innovative approach.
What sets Le Belvédère apart is the way in which the natural environment is central to the design. From the moment one enters the restaurant, it is clear that the location and the surrounding nature have been carefully integrated into the design. The architecture is subtle and thoughtful, designed to emphasize the beauty of the landscape without overwhelming it. This is not a place where one comes to simply eat, but to absorb the tranquility of the surroundings. The design concept, guided by soft lines and minimalist materials, invites visitors to slow down and take their time with their experience. The curves and shapes of the interior are hand-drawn, contributing to a delicate and almost personal atmosphere. A succession of arches and carefully placed bay windows entice visitors to discover the view bit by bit. This creates a sense of slow discovery, which contributes to the tranquility that the project exudes. Inside the restaurant, large windows frame strategically selected views of the surrounding nature. The gentle breeze, the sound of crickets, and the view of the treetops give visitors the feeling of being in the middle of nature. This is the essence of Le Belvédère: a place where the hustle and bustle of everyday life is exchanged for serenity and simplicity. Le Belvédère embraces a soft, sunny modernism. The interior exudes a light rusticity that reminds us that the restaurant is located high in the mountains, where winters can still be harsh. The restaurant is built to reflect the changing seasons: the light colors and organic shapes capture the summer light, while the warmth of the materials provides comfort during the colder months.

The creative force behind Le Belvédère is Rudy Guénaire, a French architect and designer known for his personal, intimate approach to architecture. As the founder of Night Flight, his own design firm, and co-founder of the popular restaurant brand PNY (Paris New York), Guénaire has built a reputation for creating immersive and dreamy spaces. Inspired by the poet-architects of yesteryear, and by his fascination with craftsmanship and cinema, he designs spaces that invite people to step out of their daily routine and enter another world. What makes Guénaire’s work special is his preference for sketching his projects by hand, rather than using computer models. This approach gives his designs a personal, artisanal quality. For Le Belvédère, he designed everything from the floor plan to the napkin rings by hand. This creates a cohesive and intimate aesthetic that is felt throughout the space. More than just a restaurant, Le Belvédère is a sanctuary where nature, architecture and gastronomy come together seamlessly. Rudy Guénaire’s serene design, combined with the beautiful surroundings and the culinary vision of the Vertigo Group, makes it a destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here, guests come not just to eat, but to fully immerse themselves in an atmosphere of peace, beauty and refinement. Whether enjoying a refined meal with a view of Mont Ventoux, or simply relaxing in the shade of the trees, Le Belvédère offers a rare opportunity to slow down and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of nature.
