- Interior
The Collector’s Apartment is a carefully composed interior concept, designed for DCW Éditions and 10heures10, in which lighting not only plays a functional role, but forms the beating heart of the space. The project revolves around bringing together two distinctive accent lamps within a single cohesive interior — a challenge that formed the basis for the spatial design.
The home is designed as an open yet layered living environment in which the kitchen, dining area and living room flow seamlessly into one another. Within this shared space, the two iconic pendant lamps each have their own stage. Above the dining table and kitchen hangs the Munari lamp by DCW Éditions, a graphic and sculptural object that lends rhythm and refinement to the space. In the sitting area, the Zigouzi pendant lamp by 10heures10 forms the visual anchor, its playful and characterful shape lending the living space an intimate and almost theatrical atmosphere. These two lighting objects not only determine the lighting, but also the spatial hierarchy and experience.
The living space is further enriched by the Colonne floor lamp by 10heures10, whose translucent shade diffuses a soft glow, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Together, the three light sources create a subtle interplay of contrast and harmony.
Every object in this home tells its own story, but together they create a harmony that is greater than the sum of its parts
The interior itself is built around a minimalist architecture that leaves room for expressive accents. Furniture, materials and colours have been deliberately chosen to support the lighting without overshadowing it. Classic elements, loft-like roughness, mid-century elegance and contemporary minimalism merge into an eclectic but balanced whole.
Like a true collector, this flat brings together different styles and eras. Each object has its own story, but together they form a coherent and personal universe — an interior in which freedom, character and refinement take centre stage.
In addition to the visual interplay of light and furniture, the experience of space also plays a central role. The flat invites you to move, discover and experience: from the intimate sitting area to the open dining table where light and shadow dance subtly with each other. The attention to proportions, materials and textures makes every corner feel carefully considered, without becoming stiff or static. The result is a dynamic interior that not only offers a home, but also an exhibition space in which the collection and personal character of the occupant come into their own. It is a place where design, comfort and individuality meet and form a harmonious whole.
