- Interior
A spa for the eyes, that is the preferred phrasing that Se Design Buro uses for this apartment. Soon it turned out that the evident would not suffice here, so the finished result is a lesson in slightly atypical and charismatic interiors. The resident’s personality is reflected in every space, which delivered elegant characteristics.
When interior designers Snezhana Tcutcaeva and Evgeniya Dubrovskaya were handed this apartment in Moscow, it consisted of a rather complex layout. For the client – a fashionable young lady with a vibrant persona – it was namely a priority that the floor plan would be uniquely aligned with her lifestyle and individuality. Certain aspects were further enhanced by the interior studio, with ultimately two primary zones that together form a living surface of 150 square metres as a result. The public and the private areas are connected through a gallery where the incoming light conjures different ambiances throughout the day. When entering, you are greeted by the hall with spacious cabinets from veneered oak panels. The day space includes a large living room. The kitchen is located here as well, albeit hidden discreetly behind steel boards. Since the aesthetic aspect should prime, you preserve an uncluttered and neat atmosphere before and after cooking. Looking at the seating furniture, the De Sede sofa from the seventies offers various possibilities, because the parts can be pulled out and, therefore, answer to different situations. The coffee table was custom designed and manufactured, as well as the carpet. Next to this, a lot of attention went into the parquet floor. That is to say, the room did not have an easy shape, so they experimented with the boards in form and size until everything felt right proportion-wise.

At the other side of the gallery, you enter the private areas, including the bed- and bathroom and the wardrobe. In contrast to earlier, here you notice fewer different colours. The wall covering consists of a special sort of wallpaper made from natural materials. A minimalist and futuristic approach resulted in an inviting bed, which is also upholstered in cashmere. Moreover, the designers added the Sculpture 190 chair from Vittorio Introini. Different from what you would expect, they did not opt for solid doors here. You enter the rooms through alternatives with glass manels and specially manufactured door grips made from brass and enamel. In the bathroom, the team worked with the same stone for the walls and the floor, meaning that the overall effect would be soft and encapsulating. Equipped with both a bathtub and a shower, the room is completely in line with our idea of a luxury design that offers you more than is necessary. In general, the resident also richly values high-end textiles. For this reason, not only the bed but also the windows are finished with cashmere, while the floor parades with a silk carpet. Next to this, the apartment contains numerous objects in ceramics and applications in microcement and bronze. It required a lot of effort and time, but this apartment was worth every second. Se Design Buro searched for the best match with the taste and style of the client, in every aspect. The entire working of the home revolves around the appearance, which means that all spaces are a strong concept. Photography by Mikhail Loskutov
