In the heart of Oudenaarde, surrounded by peaceful countryside, a major renovation project was brought to life by talented interior designer Laura Calleeuw. Laura's vision and expertise are reflected in this stunning project, which seamlessly blends the old farmhouse charm with contemporary luxury and comfort.
This project involves an extensive renovation of a detached farmhouse, located in rural Oudenaarde. With a large extension and typical farmhouse style, it presented a challenge to harmoniously combine the old and new. Laura's design language is characterised by simplicity, luxury and personality, with each project being thoughtfully designed to create a sense of home. Her inspiration for 'Oudenaarde Hoeve' came from the architecture and surroundings, with the property's location and holiday feeling in an authentic context guiding the design.
The biggest challenges were the connection between old and new, the layout of functions and the abundance of sloping corners in the old part. Laura and her team managed to overcome these challenges through a thoughtful design that maximises both authenticity and comfort.

The palette consists of soft tones and natural materials, with each choice contributing to a sense of purity and serenity. The kitchen acts as the heart of the home, open to the ridge, where all the dynamics take place in a large, open space.
The 'Oudenaarde Hoeve' project stands for maximising comfort in an authentic context, where the renovation preserves the authentic exterior and creates an updated, timeless interior. Aiming for openness, visibility and interaction between spaces in an authentic farmstead with extension is central. 
Laura's approach is characterised by her keen spatial insight and ability to form a harmonious final concept that respects the client's wishes. Her aesthetic is shaped by thoughtful choice of materials and far-reaching finishes, striving to evoke emotions when entering a space.
With 'Oudenaarde Hoeve', Laura Calleeuw has not only realised a beautiful project, but also an inspiring example of how architecture, interior and surroundings can come together to create an oasis of peace and luxury.
