In the 90’s, when Peter Pollet met Royal Oak Buildings in the English countryside, an English construction company that had been a master of the trade for 100 years, he knew that he wanted to represent the brand in Europe. Meanwhile, in 2015, he left the helm to Walter Sanders. In the 20 years that Royal Oak Buildings has been represented in Europe, it has already completed 2,000 projects in the Benelux, Germany and France. 
"Beautiful oak outbuildings that are an eyecather in your garden"
The authentic outbuildings are made of oak from the English Sussex. The region is known for its exceptional soil conditions, which ensure a high density and hardwood in oak. Because of the hard clay layer that the soil contains, the tree roots have to make a lot of effort to get water, which gives them a unique density. The oak therefore remains good for generations without any form of maintenance. Royal Oak Buildings uses only the innermost part of the oak logs. In this way, it can ensure the ultimate strength and firmness for the trusses of the oak buildings. 
In addition, the buildings are assembled with the typical English pin- and hole-jointed supporting structure where no nails or screws are used. The pins are dried up to 5% humidity before use, after which the pin secures itself in the hole. The connection gives an exceptional load-bearing capacity and is impossible to loosen. For the exterior finish, Larch is used, one of the most popular types of wood that ages in the same silver-plating way as oak. The resinous wood is completely tear- and burst-free. The roof is also finished with natural materials such as reed, tiles or old tiles from Boom. In order to remain completely in the English style, Royal Oak Buildings prefers a sophisticated forging for the windows but also wooden windows in exotic hardwood, with fine profiles.

Royal Oak Buildings makes the oak outbuildings fully custom made. This way, it can become as multifunctional as you want it to be. A garage for your oldtimer? A ballroom to let friends and family enjoy your outbuilding? A nice pool house with an outdoor kitchen? Even your camper can be accommodated there.
In addition to oak carports, you can also find (sheltered) pool houses, outdoor kitchens, guesthouses, residential extensions, etc., all of which are custom-made and according to the customer's wishes. As a total concept, your oak extension or outbuilding will be delivered completely ready for use or it can be supplied in a construction kit.
