Our loyal partner ILB has a lot going for it: total projects from A to Z are realised with the finest eye for detail, while the Belgian expert in interiors and construction never loses its core. Pure craftsmanship once born of a love of wood takes each design to a new level. The ILB team shared their latest projects with us, and we proudly highlight them.
ILB's strong vision originated in 1999: at the age of 16, the then very young Luc Weullens had a great passion for woodworking and started working on his projects in the small shed at his parental home. Back then, for instance, he was already carpentry his very first roof and also made his first kitchen. Almost 25 years later, together with his life partner, Karin Geerts, and his strong team, he creates beautiful interiors. ‘People who enter an interior with us, they come home with a good, warm feeling,’ he says. So, according to Weullens and his team, a concept should be completely tailored to the occupant. According to the founder, the time and again neat designs are therefore the result of "a team full of talent". Team work makes the dream work, Weullens fully supports, as he himself calls each project a "true work of art, created by true artists". In other words, he praises his skilled plumbers, fitters, electricians and floorers who know how to put the pieces of the puzzle together every time. Blind faith in these experts is therefore very high along ILB's side. They also always rely on their in-house interior designer, Steven Gielen, to design the projects. He always maintains the complete overview and ensures optimal harmony that works its way into every concept according to clear and unambiguous shapes. The optimal customisation for which ILB is so renowned arises from creative solutions that allow us to put the brand forward as an optimal quality label. The contemporary materials, beautifully finished with lacquerwork from our own workshop turns every interior into an overall composition that manages to keep the balance perfect.
‘People who enter an interior with us, they come home with a good, warm feeling’
The company's personal approach quietly reverberates in every design. So too in their very latest work. First, they gave us a look at this beautiful kitchen, where oak shines outstretched along the wall cabinets. A large kitchen island with micro-topping gives the space a sleek touch, which in turn contrasts nicely with the wooden bar finished with fine lines. This second design also proves that their kitchens are not merely functional but also have a warm character. The same oak veneer was used in this kitchen, but it was combined with travertine, an excellent choice. The herringbone parquet finishes it off nicely.
