In 2013, it became part of Groep Verelst, a leading construction group that originated from Verelst Industriebouw in Putte. Experience and inspiration space in all its facets
The choice to open Atelier Oscar V in Sint-Katelijnestraat in Mechelen was very natural. On the one hand, the city has a very central location and dynamic character, making it the ideal place to receive clients. On the other hand, it has been home to countless artisans such as painters, sculptors and also bell founders for centuries. Located in one of the main approach roads, the street further also boasts beautiful facades which lent itself to the most ideal location to establish their studios. This inspiration space will ensure that customers can fully immerse themselves in the company's style and approach. More than that, this brand new experience space will translate their particular love for craft and authenticity. "We work exclusively bespoke from the first sketch to the last hinge, everything is designed and made in-house with love for the craft," we hear. In this sense, the company almost takes on an artisanal character. Thus, the Atelier starts from the principle of a craft workshop. It is a place where Oscar V's craftsmanship is displayed in all its facets. 
In the workshop, there is a separate sample room that best substantiates that idea. There, customers can discover a thoughtful selection of materials, products and finishes. The atelier offers an inspiring view of the ambitious company's artisanal minimalism. On the outside, the building looks like a sleek white volume, although inside it is then typically designed according to the Oscar V signature. This is characterised by authentic and tactile materials, tone-on-tone colours, subtle textures, rounded shapes and meticulous detailing. One thing immediately stands out; the architecture and interior are completely in harmony. "A villa with us is a total concept. We don't just want people to see that, but to really experience it with all their senses," says Nathalie Delronge, Manager at Oscar V. That's what they want to convey to their visitors and is the main ambition for this intimate place.
