It took two years for Magnolia House to be completely renovated, but those years were well spent. The owners chose Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke for the renovations. They turned the house into a home. The eyecatcher in Magnolia House is the elegant descent of the new sculptural staircase.
The basic task of the renovation was to redesign the kitchen and bathrooms. The owners were huge fans of the colours and texture that Arent & Pyke use. This was slightly changed when the Australian design duo came with improvised sketches from an alternative staircase. Soon the owners also opened the doors to the rest of the house to implement the beautiful designs of Arent & Pyke.
The volume of the house was maintained, but the interior was completely stripped and redesigned in function of a young family. The duo replaced the limestone floor with a beautiful oak fish bone floor and with the change of the lighting they created a warmer atmosphere.
