On the west coast of Mexico, where the Pacific Ocean meets the land in broad, sun-drenched lines, lies the Punta Mita Surf Residence. Amid tropical vegetation and views of Banderas Bay, this exclusive residential project forms a cohesive unit with two iconic hotels in the region: the Four Seasons and the St. Regis. In this unique setting, where architecture and nature reinforce each other, Gervasoni provided the entire interior - both inside and outside - with a selection of timeless pieces and innovative designs.
The furniture company, founded in 1882, has developed a balance between craft and technology over the years. What began as a modest wickerwork workshop in Friuli grew into an international name in interior design under the leadership of three family generations. Collaborations with designers like Paola Navone and the recent integration into the Dexelance group show a brand that stays true to its origins without shying away from innovation. In the Punta Mita Surf Residence too, Gervasoni's heritage comes to life in furniture designs that are meant to be cherished for life. 
The houses are designed to let light and space speak for themselves. Large panoramic windows connect the interior spaces to the outside world, making the Mexican landscape not only visible but almost tangible. The interiors reflect this openness. Besides the well-known designs, the surf residence is also a place where new creations make their debut. The Guna Charpoy, a contemporary interpretation of the Indian daybed designed by Chiara Andreatti, invites moments of stillness on the terraces overlooking the ocean. The robust elegance of the Heiko side tables, the minimalist lines of the Brise tables and the subtle functionality of the Yaku sofa testify to the versatility within the furniture collections. Every object here seems out of place and gives meaning to the space. 
What makes Gervasoni special in this project is the naturalness with which tradition and experimentation meet. From the choice of materials to the way shapes are used; each element contributes to an atmosphere that feels simultaneously familiar and innovative. The balance between function and character stems from a deep understanding of context and quality of life.
