From Mexico to New York, from South Africa to Europe, Soleille Gallery creates an innovative dialogue between global art spheres and how the collective perceives them. The gallery's international and innovative approach navigates the ever-changing terrain of contemporary design and art, inspiring and raising standards every time. Founded by Gabriela Puig Soleille, a Franco-Mexican visionary, and curated by Martin Michaelis, a German-Mexican curator, Soleille Gallery brings a new wave of creativity to the magical island of Ibiza. This gallery is not just another exhibition space; it is a vibrant art centre where architecture, design and art come together in a harmonious symphony of ideas and expressions.
For the grand opening of the gallery, the focus was on the transformative power of creativity. Soleille Gallery worked closely with renowned artists and designers to create a unique and inspiring experience. Sophie Dries designed a custom-made mirror with sand from the beaches of Ibiza, while Andrea Mancuso of Analogia Projects presented marble pyramid speakers that created an enchanting ‘soundscape’. Mexican artist Ana Hernandez contributed works of gold and woven memories, and Manuel Baño showed light sculptures made of hand-hammered copper. Fernando Laposse's sisal works seamlessly fused the elements into a harmonious and captivating manifestation. Kym Ellery's ‘Moulin’ connected different artistic expressions and media through a movement of light, form and function, highlighting the beauty of flaws and irregularities.
