A new culinary hotspot is opening its doors in picturesque Österlen, on Sweden's south-east coast. Star chef Daniel Berlin unveils Vyn, a modern Scandinavian restaurant with an exclusively designed and custom-made kitchen by Nordiska Kök.
In the heart of Österlen, surrounded by the enchanting landscape, Vyn Restaurant becomes not just a gastronomic destination, but an ode to Scandinavian culinary art. The interplay between Nordiska Kök and chef Daniel Berlin has resulted in a kitchen that is not only functional, but also a visual symphony of craftsmanship and aesthetics. The light oak structure and hand-crafted details blend harmoniously with the natural elements of the surroundings, creating a seamless transition between the culinary experience and the beautiful surrounding nature.
With a shared vision and philosophy about local craftsmanship and a more sustainable approach, the design collaboration was a natural match for both Daniel Berlin and Nordiska Kök. The kitchen, made of sustainable and earthy materials in Scandinavian design, flows seamlessly with the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, where wooden surfaces dominate. For the chef, working with a Swedish supplier with similar, high ambitions and philosophy was a dream come true. In the private dining area, he wanted to create an intimate atmosphere with attention to detail and materials. In our opinion, he more than succeeded in this. 
Strong passion for sustainability and attention to detail
Berlin is one of Sweden's and the world's most renowned chefs and creating a kitchen specially designed for his new restaurant has been a true honour. Designed exclusively for Vyn Restaurant, the kitchen features a solid framework of light oak and hand-made wooden details. The stunning kitchen island with gently rounded corners and a quartzite countertop infused with subtle green accents draws attention and becomes the centrepiece of the space. The kitchen is located in the private dining area, where guests can gather around the kitchen island, close to the chef, while preparing the seasonal tasting menu.
The Vyn Restaurant kitchen design will be available in the Swedish kitchen expert's design range in early 2024. With two Michelin stars awarded to Daniel Berlin Krog, Daniel has gained worldwide recognition for his contemporary Nordic cuisine and sustainable approach. Now Berlin is entering his next chapter by opening this brand new restaurant, which is predicted to be a culinary masterpiece.
