Swiss textile house Fischbacher 1819 took inspiration from the rich colours of the earth for the palette of its Nomadic Journeys collection. It reflects the aesthetic of a nomadic lifestyle in a contemporary interpretation with a carefully composed and evocative colour palette of natural and earthy tones that take us to distant landscapes and sunny vistas. It is said that we were once all nomads, closely connected to nature and constantly changing locations depending on the needs of the seasons. The nomadic lifestyle and aesthetic continue to exert a deep fascination and attraction. Perhaps we migrate geographically or only in our thoughts and dreams, but there remains a constant pull to live in harmony with nature and follow the sun to warmer places. Fischbacher 1819 is a globally successful Swiss supplier of upholstery fabrics, carpets and wall coverings for private and public spaces. The company's luxurious textile collections are made with great care, passion and creativity. More than two centuries after it was founded in 1819, the company is still owned by the same family. Today, Michael Fischbacher and Camilla Douraghy Fischbacher run the company in the sixth generation, and as passionately as the five generations before them. 
Central to the collection is the use of natural fibres, highlighting Fischbacher's commitment to sustainability and underlining the collection's homage to our harmonious relationship with the earth.Yak wool, known for its incredible warmth and softness, and hemp, praised for its durability and eco-friendly properties, are combined with hand-spun raw silk and bouclé, which together create a textural landscape that is both refined and authentic.

A masterful blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary craft, capturing the essence of a lifestyle in harmony with the landscape, Nomadic Journeys is a tribute to the patterns, textures and silhouettes shaped by nature.Here, golden ochres, reminiscent of vast deserts, alongside deep terracotta and lush greens that echo the dense vegetation and flowers of pristine forests, serve as the basis for this collection's colour palette.Through these carefully chosen colours, Fischbacheer invites us on a sensory journey, encouraging the exploration of the world's natural beauty through textiles.
