Imagicasa has been a fan of the Scandinavian serenity and unique details that Joanna Lavén brings to her projects for a long time. With Apartment S, the Swedish designer managed to seduce and impress us once again.
The owner of this nice dwelling wanted to renovate the house completely for quite some time and eventually called on Joanna to lead the project to a successful result. On her first visit, the designer was immediately impressed by the beautiful building and the many fine, original details that were still intact. No matter how beautiful the house was, it was not adapted to the needs and wishes of the client. Joanna would change that. The apartment had a lot of potential and a nice surface area of 200 m2. Nevertheless, the space wasn't well-organized. The kitchen was in a corridor without windows, there weren't enough bathrooms. The owner knew it wouldn't be easy but wanted everything to be done as soon as possible. Joanna gladly accepted the challenge and transformed the house into one beautiful whole.
The materials and colours were attuned to the beautiful existing details of the building.
All the old furniture was sold. Only a few paintings and a mirror were kept. New, creative ideas were formed planning for the new furniture and general style. They searched at auctions for interesting and special pieces. Eventually the house got a serene yet playful atmosphere. They mostly worked with refined and unique details and decorative objects as well as some bold colours such as green and blue. The materials and colours were attuned to the beautiful existing details of the building such as the green marble in the floors. A sophisticated result with playful and artistic details that's undoubtedly wonderful to live in.
