This beautiful historic penthouse in Paris was renovated into a true interior gem by the award winning designer Christina Cole. In a mix of old and modern elements, you’ll find yourself in a magical atmosphere of grandeur and splendour.
The talent behind this beautiful penthouse, Christina Cole, is not only a designer but also a professor of architecture and a writer. In this project, the Austin-based interior designer chose to preserve the historical elements – the apartment was built in the 1920s – and to balance them with modern additions.
Christina Cole enchants us with her renovation of a historical penthouse
Some of the old elements that are now beautifully highlighted include the 'Breche Medicis' marble mantelpiece, the oak herringbone floor and the beautiful stained-glass window. You will also find antique mirrors and impressive chandeliers that contribute to the historic and baroque atmosphere. In this classic setting, Cole opted for more modern pieces of furniture by Pierre Chareau and Pierre Augustin Rose, among others. It became a modern home where you can still feel the history and classic Parisian style. A magnificent result!
