- Interior
In 2012, Australian designer Nicci Green founded Articolo Lighting. Today, Articolo’s pieces are produced by craftsmen throughout the world. Thanks to Green’s intuitive way of working and her passion for craftsmanship, all lighting pieces are true gems in each project.
Green has more than twenty-five years of experience in the design industry and perfectly knows how to select the right pieces for each interior. Articolo Lighting produces both interior and exterior lighting, that can already be found in a large number of luxury hotels, restaurants and high-end private residences. One of those projects is this splendid apartment in Melbourne named Huntingtower Road. Articolo Lighting provided the lighting fixtures, creating the right atmosphere and intimacy. Studio Goss, the multidisciplinary practice working in the fields of architecture, interiors, furniture and product design, was responsible for the interior, which above all exudes tranquillity. The studio employs a deliberate and sensitive design approach that strives to create a sense of clarity and timelessness, balancing bold design with subtle interventions.
Dark bronze elements ensure consistency throughout the apartment, contrasting beautifully with the light colour palette of the rest of the interior
The living and dining rooms are situated at the heart of the apartment, with bedrooms at both sides. Rectangular volumes of various textures in polished plaster, rough scraped render and bleached white oak are amplified with pale timber and grey limestone. Dark bronze elements ensure consistency throughout the apartment, contrasting beautifully with the light colour palette of the rest of the interior, which consists mainly of white, brown and grey tones. Across all rooms, we find several products by Articolo, such as the Scandal Short Wall Sconces, a Scandal Pendant, Fizzi Round Ball Wall Sconces, Fizi Tall Table Lamps and Domi Wall Sconces. According to Nicci Green, the light-coloured walls created a unique blank canvas for the Articolo lighting fixtures, which enhance the already peaceful atmosphere. We think the lighting indeed forms a real eyecatcher in this sublime interior.
