The kitchen is often the heart of a house and should reflect the style of the entire home. Whether you’re looking for a warm, wooden kitchen or a rather minimalist model: at Nordiska Kök, there is a great diversity of styles that will find a home in many interiors.
The Swedish company Nordiska Kök was founded in 2017 with the idea to challenge the traditional kitchen industry. They want to offer high-quality design kitchens at a reasonable price and manage to do that by fully digitising the purchasing process, without the intervention of dealers or showrooms. Their designs can be adapted according to the client’s choice, both in terms of colours and materials as well as sizes. We have written about their quality kitchens before, and we’re happy to highlight their newest model. Together with the Swedish interior designer Caroline Sandström, the company recently launched this model. The designer strives to create modern, timeless spaces and has a preference for minimalist, monochrome results. She also followed that vision during the designing process of this kitchen, which has references to the seventies, but where you still recognise the typical Scandinavian, minimalist style. That is emphasised by the peaceful, white colour palette, the carefully lined cabinets, and the organic shapes in the design, creating an airy atmosphere. The marble countertop brings a somewhat dramatic touch and adds elegance and personality to the design.
A peaceful, white colour palette, carefully lined cabinets, and organic shapes
Thanks to the simple model and the carefully selected details, the kitchen can be adapted to each preference. The kitchen fronts were painted in a light shade, while on the inside you find solid oak drawers. Because of the large number of cabinets, kitchen appliances and other cooking materials can be easily stored. In this way, you create a uniform, clean space that will perfectly suit the rest of the interior. The company again manages to produce an interesting design that is very multi-faceted and can be personalised in several ways. The combination of sleek and organic lines gives the kitchen a contemporary look that remains timeless. Nordiska Kök knows how to design kitchens that will naturally take centre stage in any home.
