The owners of this new apartment in the port of Gdynia wanted to escape from their intense professional life. That is why they reached out to Polish design studio Interno Iza Gajewska. The studio was founded in 2011 and specialises in private interior architecture. They value quality and simplicity, which is why they chose natural materials such as stone, concrete, wood and glass.
By using a neutral colour palette with off-white as the main colour, they succeeded in creating calmness in this apartment. The natural oak cladding and microcement flooring, on the other hand, enhance the feeling of spaciousness. Interno Iza Gajewska believes that good design is discrete and tells a story, which is also reflected in the interior of Yacht Park. By using the combination of wood and stainless steel, they refer to the construction of the yachts on which you can look out from the kitchen and living space. The sea view is one of the most important aspects in this apartment.

The open kitchen and living room are the perfect retreat to unwind and enjoy the beautiful view. The kitchen uses bleached oak woodwork and Breccia Alba marble for the island. The room also features a sturdy oak table with steel legs. This contrasts with the living room, where the DePadova sofa is the focal point and is surrounded by linen textures. For the asymmetrical corridor, strategic thought was given to the location of the mirror, playing with reflections. The ethereal atmosphere of the living room is also found in the bedroom, where warm linen textures harmonise with the minimalist bed by Piero Lissoni for LIVING DIVANI. Furthermore, the bedroom is combined with an open private bathroom and an oak wardrobe with a hidden door to the toilet. Studio Interno Iza Gajewska succeeded in providing this apartment with a peaceful atmosphere and calming environment. Here you can relax thanks to the beautiful view of the port and escape from the hustle and bustle of your life. Want to get enchanted by more impressive projects and inspiring architecture?
