Internationally-renowned Italian architect and furniture designer, Antonio Citterio, has recently finished his first ever project in the United States. Arte, named for its artful design and for the artworks it houses, is a new, ultra-luxury twelve-story condominium in Miami’s Surfside neighbourhood. It boasts 16 oceanfront homes with first class amenities including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a rooftop tennis court and more. It’s pure artful luxury that's steps from the sand.
Antonio Citterio is a master architect with an impressive international portfolio. He’s behind the Mandarin Oriental in Milan and the BVLGARI Hotels in Dubai, London, Milan and Bali. His work in product design is just as impressive. With furniture designs shown in New York’s Museum of Modern Art and Paris’s Centre Pompidou, today he collaborates with top brands like B&B Italia, Kartell and Vitra, to name a few. And now, he’s applied his decades-long experience towards this iconic beachfront building.

Drawing from the architectural heritage of Miami, the building’s façade is nothing short of magnificent. Layered slabs of Roman travertine outline the elegant shape. Not only visionary but functional as well, they serve as outdoor lounge areas that extend from inside the homes. Collaborating with local Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, Citterio chose a gridded bronze Schuco window system with broad sliding glass doors. There’s an alluring confidence in the building’s polished minimalism.
