Known as a high-end processor of marble and natural stone and with a sharp eye for luxurious design, Van Den Weghe has once again finished a beautiful property. For this unique penthouse in Ghent, they worked together with renowned architect Glenn Sestig to find the best material choices for this project.
What once started as a concrete factory has grown into a renowned company that buys, cuts, finishes and places natural stone in Belgium and abroad. Van Den Weghe is firmly convinced that natural stone adds value to architecture and interiors. They continue to reinvent themselves by travelling and looking for inspiration, which enables them to collect the most beautiful materials and to realise unique projects.
The right use of light, materials and colours creates a sense of luxury.
This is also how, in collaboration with Glenn Sestig, this luxury penthouse with a view over the centre of Ghent was transformed into a gem. Thanks to the impressive large windows you can feel the connection with the centre and a lofty feeling is created. Van Den Weghe cleverly played on this and sought the right balance of light, materials and colours to achieve a matching feeling of luxury. The natural stone company opted for a timeless, soothing colour with the stone Cream Macedonia for the floors throughout the apartment. The unique vision of the company is also reflected in the choice of the black Argos Black stone and beautiful travertine walls. It must be noted that the Signature Kitchen by Obumex is also to be found in this penthouse. The residence is thus a special realisation that brought together the best partners, resulting in an extremely inspiring whole! Photography by Annick Vernimmen
