In December we will publish the second art edition of Imagicasa magazine. In preparation of this, we believe it’s time to freshen up our knowledge of art history and we happily do that with this amazing book by Thames & Hudson.
An overly ambitious project? After all, how can you combine the entire history of art in just one book? An international team of artists, art historians and curators ventures to do this here on 576 pages and has – even if we say so ourselves – succeeded miraculously. With various aspects of art history covered and timelines that also indicate the historical context, the reader gets a full picture of all the movements and the technical innovations, most important names and most beautiful works that belong to them. As Belgians, we should also be very proud that our compatriot René Magritte adorns the cover of this absolute reference work.
