Interior designer Bart Appeltans creates timeless interiors that always radiate a warm, cosy and personal atmosphere. This publication brings together some of the housing projects he has realised with his agency SFAR (architects of atmosphere).
Some may know Appeltans from the television programme Blind Gekocht (‘Buying Blind’) and could already see how the interior designer put together a dream interior time and time again for clients with diverse wishes and styles. Together with Liesbet Bemong and their interior design and architectural firm, he has been creating unique homes in various styles, with contemporary trends and above all with a timeless look since 2008. 
‘It dawned on me early on that home life is the essence of our existence. Few things are more important in life than coming home to a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself,’ says Appeltans in the book Tijdloos (‘Timeless’) (Borgerhoff & Lamberights) that he published earlier this year. He likes to share his passion for interiors with others, but because unfortunately he can't assist everyone personally, he compiled this book as an inspiration guide and handy manual.

In this publication Bart Appeltans shows, based on a few exclusive realisations, how you can get to work yourself to create your perfect living environment, which materials, patterns, textures, colours, trends, etc. you can use to compose an interior that feels modern, and will remain so in five, ten or twenty years. The interior designer also explains the pros and cons of renovation and gives tips on how to avoid and overcome some major obstacles during that process.
