Karim Rashid designed this striking concept called Bounce as an idea for an apartment building. The wavy and organic shapes stand out literally and figuratively and also thanks to the transparency the building immediately catches the eye.
The New York based Karim Rashid is one of the most successful and exceptional designers of his generation. Under the following motto, he has been creating the most unique and modern designs from architecture to interiors, objects, products, furniture and even fashion accessories for twenty years: "For a very long time, design existed only for the elite and for a small insular culture. I've worked hard the last twenty years to try and make design a public subject". This unique designer has won more than 300 awards and is well on his way to becoming – if he isn’t already – a true legend in the design world.
A special idea with curving glass panes as walls
He himself is just as charismatic, stylish, colourful and unique as his designs and this Bounce concept is immediately recognisable as one of his special concepts. It is an idea for an apartment building. It seems to be constructed from interwoven wavy glass panes. A striking building and especially in the evening when everything is illuminated, this gives a beautiful effect.
We are curious if and when this concept will be realised. Images © Karim Rashid
