- Interior
Australian studio Decus Interiors designed the interior for a house on the coast in Sydney. The project, called Cove House, is characterised by natural light and luxurious furniture. The studio strived for balance and refinement in its unique design.
Cove House is an extravagant family home that lies in the shade of a eucalyptus tree overlooking the vast ocean. It needed a new interior and Decus Interiors was appointed for the task. The local design studio sees the interior of a house as an expression of the resident's personality. This was exactly what the clients were looking for.
Decus Interiors succeeds in combining a phenomenal view with extravagant design.
The wall of the house facing the sea is made entirely of glass and a glass dome was placed above the dining table to let in as much light as possible. The most striking features in the house are the impressive thirteen-metre-high sliding glass doors facing the sea. One of the customer's requirements was sufficient space to receive guests. The sitting area and dining table therefore have enough space to be able to invite friends over. Decus Interiors also placed a bar and a pizza oven outside on the terrace. The colour palette of the walls and floors is neutral, creating a sober background for colourful art, objects and furniture. A number of design objects that have been placed are the 'Redondo' armchair by Moroso and the 'Atollo' lamp by Oluce. Decus Interiors succeeds in combining a phenomenal view with extravagant design. The entirety is a home with personality. Once again a successful result by Decus Interiors! A big fan just like us? Then be sure to also read about some of their previous projects on our website.
