Bandido is a Mexican studio that understands this like no other, because with their new CBH 02 collection they prove the importance of creating ambience when you want to feel completely at home. We are delighted to reveal their philosophy and the concept behind these new products, considering that the designs are both aesthetically appealing and handmade.
In April 2016, Alejandro Campos and Joel Rojas decided that their group project at university, where they were both studying industrial design, tasted like more. Namely, they had designed a lighting design for the first time, and it would be an understatement to say that they liked it. Starting from that moment, they began an inspiring adventure together that would be called Bandido; a name referring to the duality of light and shadow. The mission of the studio is to produce high-quality lighting in an artisanal way. Convinced that the right atmosphere can conjure a unique wellness feeling and reduce daily stress, the team strives for a range that transcends time and is a lasting added value to your living experience. 
The DBH 02 collection originated as an extension of an earlier lamp that the studio designed. This had received the name DBH and was meant to showcase creativity with metal. Ultimately, this evolved into the selection of products which we present here, consisting of a palette of three primary materials: brass, onyx, and opal glass for the diffusors. This combination turned out to be the optimal mix for the peaceful appearance that Bandido wished to capture. Next to this, the designs mainly contain curved shapes, ideal for a harmonious collection with a mutual dynamic between the different pieces. Like always, this collection of the studio was also produced in Mexico, and this by family-owned businesses with an extensive expertise of these specific materials.

Not only are the designs stunningly beautiful; they also each tell a story of their own. That is to say, Onyx is a material that absorbs light and incorporates it in a unique way. Because of this, an interaction with the space originates and, as a resident, you experience the feeling that your interior is illuminated in a natural way.
