Outdoor furniture today is not what it once was, and we mean that in the positive sense only. In the mid-1990s, the norm was that you could only furnish your garden with bulky, unaesthetic pieces that usually lacked elegance and comfort. That could and should change, Lode thought. In response, he put maximum effort into outdoor design with a minimalist look and sophisticated DNA. The Pure collection is a telling embodiment of this. Indeed, with these pieces, customers could be confident that they would experience the quality and luxury they were used to indoors, also outdoors. The Pure pieces are not merely a reaction to the neglected design language of previous decades; they also have a second major asset. In outdoor furniture, for instance, functionality appeared to be too limited for a long time. Twenty years ago, for example, a lounger had only one function. Tribù decided to raise that bar. Why not have a lounger and sofa at the same time? In collaboration with designer Andrei Munteanu, they made this possible with the Pure Miami meridienne. Its modular nature means there are several options, as both as a sofa and a lounger, the design can more than count. An armchair and modular sofa were later added, and soon a new collection was born. The main advantage is undoubtedly the endless combinations with which you can arrange your terrace.
Tribù decided to raise the bar
The whole had to breathe purity and have a visual calmness. By turning the legs inwards, they created the illusion of a floating seat. In addition, the soft, deep cushions guarantee blissful sinking in. An added benefit is the option to customise them; a wide range of muted colours and textures has something for everyone. While the overall direction of the Pure collection is clearly modern and sleek, they leave nothing to be desired in terms of comfort.
