With the craftsmanship of a master painter Artisan Painters gives every project the beautiful finish it deserves. Aesthetics, tranquillity and spaciousness are central pillars of their unique signature, which is expressed through carefully selected materials and hand-made colours. We get to know the company and are shown around two of their projects.
For over forty years, the family business Artisan Painters, based in Wetteren, has been synonymous with craftsmanship and a passion for painting that has been passed on from generation to generation. With Kenneth Vander Stricht currently at the helm, the business delivers a unique result every time, fully customised to the customer's needs. He trained as a traditional painter, followed by several one-year courses in restoration, colour theory and history. After his studies, he was allowed to work for renowned names – and also Imagicasa acquaintances – such as Axel Vervoordt, Bernard De Clerck and Moredesign. ‘Those were wonderful times – the foreign projects for the biggest stars of the world were unforgettable – and I am enormously grateful for that,’ he enthuses. The knowledge he gained there, he would eventually be able to use in his own business, Artisan Painters. ‘It is always my goal to carry the feeling of the customer and the environment into the space, so that there is a calming atmosphere. Aesthetics is the most important line in our work. Let's not think but feel, and let the feeling speak for itself in the result,’ we hear.
‘It is my goal to carry the feeling of the customer and the environment into the space’
Vander Stricht first leads us to Schilde, where Artisan Painters got to work on the exterior of a house, a renovated fortress from 1912. ‘I don't have to tell you that it is enormous in size. If we have to spread a facade over two periods of a month and a half, that says it all. Here it was important to go back to the essence of the building. It is a unique fortress and that feeling is now back. This was also the first time we had brought out textures on a facade – we had only done this indoors. It was a fun challenge, which resulted in a great success. In addition, the functionality was also a great challenge. Patinas create depth, but they also have to be able to withstand the weather. As with every project, Artisan Painters used materials based on lime and minerals. The colours are completely unique and created by Vander Stricht on site and by hand. ‘It is important to harmonise the feeling, light and environment in order to create something unique. No two rooms are the same and we always aim for a total and unique experience and finish,’ we hear. Something that, judging by the images, Artisan Painters has effortlessly succeeded in. Artisan Painters has a lot of great projects ahead of it, both at home and abroad. Imagicasa is already eager to see what else the company will realise. We are convinced that a promising future awaits them.
