Villa Copenhagen opened its doors to the public in April 2020. Those doors were used once before when the building dating from 1912 served as a post and telegram office. Now it is a beautiful hotel with almost 400 rooms of various sizes. Located close to Central Station, the Tivoli Gardens and the trendy Meatpacking District where you will find numerous bars, restaurants, shops and markets, this is the ideal starting point to discover the Danish capital.
What you can expect from Villa Copenhagen: accessible luxury and personalised service. The name 'Villa' refers to the homely atmosphere created in the hotel. It is a cosy and social place where you like to stay and return to. You come here for coffee, cocktails and quality cuisine. The name of the hotel also refers to its location. Villa Copenhagen exudes an informal and hospitable atmosphere that reflects the characteristic Danish way of life: unpretentious, daring and accessible at the same time. ‘Copenhagen is fresh air in your lungs while biking through a metropolis, Copenhagen is sustainability, luxury, happiness and diversity,' we hear at the hotel. They summarise this city perfectly in their new concept.
Accessible luxury and a personalised service.
In the interior you can of course find some typical Scandinavian design elements and furniture. These were stylishly combined with more contemporary and eye-catching decoration and furniture. The result is warm, playful and inspiring. It is the ideal location to unwind, be it in your room or in one of the various dining and drinking establishments. To accomplish this, Villa Copenhagen worked together with several renowned design companies. Universal Design Studio was responsible for the guest rooms. Earth Studio took care of the special 'Earth Suite' which consists entirely of sustainable, recycled materials and textile and environmentally friendly furniture from Mater Design. Shamballa Jewels also contributed to the design of the eight suites and the courtyard. London-based Goddard Littlefair specialises in creating luxurious interior design concepts and was asked to transform the brasserie, restaurant, bar and lounge into unique and inspiring spaces.
