As every year in January, the Koelnmesse (Germany's largest trade fair and exhibition centre) is transformed for a few days into the place to be for interior and design lovers. Designers and manufacturers from all over the world come together to show their latest creations and inspire an international audience with their collections. Imagicasa was also there to see some familiar faces again, but we also discovered some names that you will undoubtedly get to know better now or in the coming months through our platform or magazine.
Studio HENK
This design studio from Amsterdam was founded just seven years ago and is already an international name. The designs are simple and functional, but radiate quality and luxury. (Images ©Studio HENK) Minotti
At Imagicasa, we have been fans of this furniture brand for years and we are always looking forward to the surprising designs in their new collections. Central is of course the familiar Italian craftsmanship and timeless elegance. The high quality finish and unique details ensure the exclusive character of the designs. (Images ©Minotti) Edra
Edra is another Italian company that, after a few decades in the interior world, can present a very rich legacy of knowledge and craftsmanship. The brand is also a forerunner in the field of technological research. This is reflected not only in their high-quality materials, but also in their innovative design. Just look at this 'Pack'-sofa that we would have wanted to lie on all day during IMM Cologne. (Images ©Edra) ARTE
Founded by the Desart family and active since 1981, the company has already decorated walls in more than 80 countries all around the world. Perhaps the warmest and cosiest stand at the fair was that of this Belgian brand, thanks to the calming and soft wall coverings, you really felt at home. (Images ©ARTE) MUT Design
As 'guest of honour' of IMM Cologne, Spanish MUT Design was allowed to decorate the pavilion 'Das Haus’ this year. Every edition, a designer or design studio can work out a fully-fledged living concept on the basis of a theme of their own choice. MUT Design calls its design 'A la Fresca!', pointing to the interaction between inside and outside. (Images ©Koelnmesse / imm cologne) Giorgetti
Giorgetti is also an interior brand that is originally Italian and therefore always puts craftsmanship and high-quality materials first. Here you will find contemporary pieces with a timeless and sophisticated image. (Images ©Vicky Cosyns) Woud
Finally, we have a Danish brand that collaborates with both young designers and renowned names who make a modern interpretation of Scandinavian design traditions. Woud has only been around for six years, but in our opinion it has already created a lot of classics. (Images ©Koelnmesse / imm cologne en Forest)
