What do you get when combining natural materials with soft colours and much light? A residence that fascinates from the first moment and of which we instantly become a fan. Residence PUR by Studio Brent Lee is a serene home full of character.
That the team of Studio Brent Lee, based in Sydney and Los Angeles, has a real passion for architecture and interior immediately becomes clear when looking at their designs. By working with natural materials and with an eye for detail, their designs are timeless and elegant. Their holistic design vision takes into account the wishes of the clients to create a unique, sophisticated home. They also closely examine the surroundings in order to develop a residence that perfectly fits in the landscape. Over time, the team of architects, interior designers and furniture makers has developed a beautiful, recognisable style. According to Brent Lee, this style is characterised by the use of century-old materials and techniques, adapted to our contemporary way of living with sufficient luxury and comfort.
The warm white colour forms a beautiful duo with the dark wood
What immediately appeals to us in their interiors is the warmth they all radiate, combined with a good dose of luxury and authenticity. These elements can also be found in Residence PUR. The house is situated in the Joshua Tree National Park desert in California, which is becoming increasingly popular, and was designed for a professional photographer couple. The house is fully enclosed by a courtyard with access via large wooden arched doors and has impressive views of the vast desert. The residence contains, amongst others, three bedrooms, a pool and a rooftop terrace.
The arches of the wooden doors also recur in the interior. Organic forms play an important role in the house and are at times alternated with clean lines for a beautiful contrast. Concerning the colour palette, two shades strike us. The warm white colour forms a beautiful duo with the dark wood. The golden details in the lighting and the bathroom faucets add a luxurious effect. A last interesting element is that this residence receives a lot of light, emphasising the soft effects. Studio Brent Lee again delivers a project that invites further exploration. With a well-considered vision, they turn dreams into impressive homes that always spark the imagination.
