The RS apartment in Rio de Janeiro on Ipanema Beach is surrounded by a beautiful environment. Architect Arthur Casas took full advantage of this and created a home with a 360 degree view of the beautiful landscape of beach, sea and mountains. This sophisticated apartment serves as a holiday home and a pleasant place where the client wanted to receive his friends.
The impressive 520 square metre space has been divided into five suites, a living and dining area, a service area and an additional lounge, each with a top view. Thanks to the many large windows, there is also an abundance of natural light coming in.
Studio Arthur Casas has allowed minimalist aesthetics to prevail in all the rooms yet kept them cosy and welcoming.
Studio Arthur Casas has allowed minimalist aesthetics to prevail in all the rooms yet kept them cosy and welcoming. They chose Modernist furniture and natural materials and colours such as beige, blue, wood and ceramics that fit in nicely with the landscape, creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere. Brazilian pieces were combined with international elements and some pieces designed by Arthur Casas himself. The 'Belly' lampshade and the 'Willy' sideboard come from the designer's personal collection. One of the most beautiful and striking pieces in the living space is the dark blue 'Delfino armchair', which is beautifully complemented by the blue painting by Carlito Carvalhosa. The colour represents the sea in the landscape and breaks through the neutral colour palette. The dining area features an impressive dark 'Amorfa' table designed by Casas together with 'Cantù' chairs by Sergio Rodrigues. A beautiful, sophisticated, open apartment where you can stay in peace and luxury and enjoy the breathtaking views.
