- Interior
The recent project called Japandi Spirit, by Taiwanese studio CA Design, lets the indoor and outdoor space breathe naturally without boundaries. The client often travels to Europe for her work and lost her heart in the relaxing country Greece. It is no surprise that her house in Taipei was inspired by this.
CA Design is a highly creative agency that designs modern, minimalist interiors for residential projects. For the Japandi Spirit project the designers chose to incorporate natural elements so that indoors and outdoors blend in beautifully. The dining room is placed outside, reflecting the bond between man and earth and creating a peaceful life close to nature. The client wanted a spacious terrace, just like she experienced in her favourite country, Greece. This allows her to relax completely under the clear sky with a drink in her hand in her own European-inspired home after a busy day at work. She is a huge fan of the wabi-sabi style and is strongly influenced by Scandinavian minimalism. The design focuses on clean lines and adds some modern elements to harmonise the living comfort. The walls are very warm and simple in beige and the cement lines cover the system cabinets. The choice of colours and materials creates a homely atmosphere in the room.
Inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and the wabi-sabi style
The right introduction of natural sunlight and plants allows the room to breathe naturally, stable and warm, and to return to the simplest minimalist life at any time. Together with the living room and dining room, the longest axis of the interior is extended towards the terrace, allowing one to look out of the window at any time and see the blessed landscape. The terrace in combination with this outstanding view lends itself perfectly to a rooftop dinner or party. Once again, CA Design was able to bring the design philosophy of 'less is more' to the fore in this project. Moreover, the incident sunlight adds a wonderful liveliness to the residence. Japandi Spirit is a design with a fantastic view that brings together minimalism and cosiness.
