This unique house with organic shapes merges with the environment. ‘House in the Landscape' by the Russian Niko Architect is a beautiful futuristic house in Moscow that pushes the boundaries of traditional architecture.
House in the Landscape seems almost a futuristic house in a fantasy world. But Niko Architect really brought this beautiful home to life. The connection with the environment was an important factor in the design. This was nicely translated into the recurring undulating shapes in the house that reflect the green hills around. The grass and the vegetation of the garden also continue on the roof and on the house. As if it were covered with a green blanket. The soft green of nature contrasts with the white concrete. Thanks to the many large windows and different skylights there is a lot of natural light and together with the different visible volumes this creates a unique shape and open feeling. The curving shapes of the exterior continue inside. This creates a soft touch and welcoming atmosphere. Everything is in harmony and forms – literally – a flowing whole.

In the interior you will find curved white walls and black marble floors. The house was beautifully decorated with several sculptures and unique furniture and here and there we find a Japanese influence. In the living space there is a fireplace above a sitting area that is built into the ground. This living room is visually separated from the dining area by a dark brown wooden wall. This does not cover an entire wall and there is a large circular hole in it so that the open feeling is preserved. Most of the furniture also has organic, round shapes and invites you to take a seat. In the bedroom the floor changes to wood and we find golden details.
Niko Architect gave this house an extraordinary silhouette and created a beautiful, unique home that celebrates organic curving forms.
