Long, long ago, princes and princesses lived in this magnificent castle. Pieter Porters preserved the historical story behind it, but he gave it a contemporary twist. Colours, fabrics, art and comfort were all about the needs of the family.
"The contemporary touch of Pieter Porters resulted in beautiful wooden floors and high, light ceilings."
The contemporary touch of Pieter Porters resulted in beautiful wooden floors and high, light ceilings on which typical chandeliers were installed. He chose the colour palette on the basis of the space. For the living room he used red tones to create a cosy family room. The kitchen, on the other hand, put Porters in a fresh green jacket. Dirty dishes? The high edge on the sink is a clever solution behind which you can hide everything for a while so you don’t have to look at clutter during dinner.
The large, light hall remained sober and was given a creamy colour in order to retain as much light reflection as possible. On both sides of the door there are two busts showing off. The revolving, dark wooden staircase gives a real royal feeling to the hall.
