Russian designer and digital artist Nikolay Shevchenko recently visualised a wabi sabi style interior project - an awe-inspiring room in a boutique hotel. With the help of a serene colour palette and the use of natural materials, you immediately find yourself in a luxurious atmosphere of tranquillity. One thing is certain: Nikolay Shevchenko is an up-and-coming and promising talent.
The thread is a rough wabi sabi style.
Nikolay Shevchenko is an artist from Russia inspired by the beauty of this world. In 2012, he first came into contact with 3D programmes and experienced the magic of the virtual world. From then on, he immediately knew that he wanted to realise digital creations. This resulted in a university education in the field of design in an architectural and spatial environment.
When you list all of Nikolay Shevchenko's realised projects, you can recognise a very clear common thread. It is a rough wabi sabi style, whose design nevertheless looks very warm and cosy. This time, he did not design a residential, but a commercial design, a bedroom in a dazzling boutique hotel. The room consists of a sleeping area, which turns into the main space, and a free-standing bathroom, in which he designed the taps and shower at the client's request. In addition, he received several suggestions from his client about how they would like their project to look. On the basis of this briefing and a mood board drawn up, his design of the room and the 3D visualisation could begin. First of all, he studied all the information and drew the layout for the products. In this way, the digital artist got a clear vision for the project; namely, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
In the future, the designer would like to achieve things like inner harmony, calmness and the joy of being, in his creations. More than that, Shevchenko only wants to do what he really loves, to remain himself, and be a better version of himself every day. We find that a very beautiful philosophical thought, which will also sharpen our view on life. Want to know more about Nikolay Shevchenko? Read the full article in Imagicasa Real Estate winter 2021.
