Aleeya Khan is an architect and interior designer from Karachi, Pakistan's largest city. Although she still lives and works here and remains true to her origins, we see clear influences in her work from international studies and work experience. This is also the case in R.R Residence.
Aleeya Khan was born and raised in Karachi, the commercial and financial heart of Pakistan. For her studies, however, she briefly relocated to the United States, more specifically New York, where she obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture at NYU and Columbia University respectively. During and after these studies, she was able to gain experience at architecture firms Beyer Blinder Belle and Only-If Architecture. In recent years she developed her talents further in Pakistan at real estate developer Imperial Builders & Developers Ltd. Recently she started a new adventure that has already yielded great results.
Minimal scheme with maximal result
Located in one of the most upscale housing schemes in Karachi we find one of the first completed interior design projects of Aleeya Khan in her homeland. The residences she now designs under the name Aleeya Design always demonstrate a perfect coalescence between aesthetics and functionality. This is also the case in R.R Residence, which you can see here. The sleek interior with stylish, minimalist details radiates tranquillity. The influence of her time abroad can be seen in the choice for the timeless Italian furniture of Molteni & C and the striking lamp of Flos. The large windows with thin aluminium frame provide an extra layer of elegance that connects interior and exterior spaces flawlessly.
