- Interior
Using three basic colours to design an interior that still feels exciting and innovative: Sver Studio proves that it is possible. They created a sleek design that they combined with organic forms and soft fabrics for an interesting result.
Sver Studio is a Russian interior design studio that was founded in 2020 by architect Olga Tsarevskaya. Her eye for detail and a neutral colour palette in combination with different material textures form the basis of her realisations. For each project, the architect wants to find the perfect match. For years, the clients of this project had been dreaming about living in a villa in the mountains, where they could escape the hustle and bustle of the city but could still experience the comfort of a city apartment. They found the perfect residence in a beautiful highland region of Sochi, Russia. Because the house had already been built, the studio could immediately start working on the interior architecture. As the spaces already had an ideal lay-out, not much had to be changed about the residence’s structure. The large living area, kitchen and dining room form the heart of the home. The private part contains a bedroom with bathroom, a number of guestrooms with their own bathroom, and some utility rooms. The clients wanted natural colours and materials and a monochrome background with spectacular colour accents. The studio designed a comfortable, refined space with enough light and airiness. The view onto the mountains has a magical effect.
With internal arches, a playful, elegant effect was created
In all spaces, a warm white shade was used on the walls. This contrasts with the many black and brown details, which provide the interior with some extra warmth. The living spaces are united by a single floor and ceiling. The walls all have the same finish with wood, decorative mouldings, and plaster. With internal arches, a playful, elegant effect was created. For the furniture, modern items in striking, unusual forms with soft upholstery were chosen. The result is a powerful design interior that is functional and relaxing at the same time. With the colours white, black and brown, an impressive interior was designed that looks refreshing but always remains comfortable.
