It is nice to daydream of an old Tuscan farmhouse that you want to transform into a beautiful modern oasis of tranquillity. But it is even nicer when your wildest design fantasies are being visualised; that is where the brilliance of The Line Visualisation steps in. The studio creates hyper-realistic images for architects, estate agents and designers, among others, that make your inner enthusiasm fizzle.
For their latest design 'Rosmery house', the visualisation experts went to work, again, with the latest CGI technology. For inspiration, they found among the gentle hilly landscape of the picturesque Tuscan town of Pienza an old charming farmhouse with a lot of restoration potential. During the digital restoration process, they found it extremely important to protect the authentic character of the farmhouse, while allowing modern elements to work their way into the design. Accuracy and care were thus central throughout the process. The typical The Line mark can again be found in their latest design: clean lines and the use of poor, local materials such as recycled wood, terracotta and travertine take precedence. Moreover, it is characteristic of The Line designs that the barriers between inside and outside are being removed. This is also very evident in the Rosemary house: "We are proud that from every corner of every room in the house there is a visual and sensory connection to the surrounding nature," The Line experts explain. They consider it extremely important that nature is brought to the fore in each of their designs. "When you find yourself in Tuscan Pienza, you should be able to see the vineyards and smell the olive trees," The Line thinks.

In addition, the rooms, which one by one have direct contact with the surrounding landscape, are characterised by a clear rhythm; they are all in dialogue with each other. For instance, the bedroom flows effortlessly into the bathroom area, where a beautiful unique bathtub shines in its austerity. Even the terrace opening onto the expansive swimming pool is shaped by a pattern where round semi-arches subtly demarcate the different zones. The sitting area with striking cognac-coloured sofas flows effortlessly into the dining area, where a majestic table invites you to host a cosy party on a summer evening. Finally, the thoughtful use of colour gives the whole place a wonderfully homely feel: southern beige-brown tones again emphasise the contact with southern nature.
