- Interior
A good example is often the key to success. The same goes for project Zoute Schorre at the Belgian coast. Namely, the interior of this model home sets the tone for the seventy residences this largescale complex consists of. The climate may not be fully aligned, but when it comes to the aesthetics, we surely see similarities with the casual atmosphere of Ibiza.
It is interior architect Isabelle Onraet who sets the example for the many houses in this project. She was responsible for the furnishing and the appearance of this model residence. To say that her design leads to a stream of interested buyers is an understatement. While the conjured feeling possesses an enjoyable conviviality, the materials were selected with an eye for a soft look. Each design of her hand bathes in a light of intimacy. Furthermore, clean lines are one of her favourite instruments to obtain her own style, as well as the timeless qualities that are incorporated in the result each time. For this project, she obviously did not digress from this habit. All seventy homes that this project holds are equipped with a luxurious finishing and charming architecture. Next to this, they are located close to the centre of Knokke, and you are only a ten-minute bike ride away from the beach.
A decisive feeling of balance and discretion rules
The decisive feeling in the interior is one of balance and discretion. Qualities such as these appeal to a large public, which was also the primary goal of the commission. By making the result as approachable as possible, they simultaneously created the biggest asset of the interior. Concerning the materials, it was of value to conjure an atmosphere that reminds of a holiday with a digestible Ibiza feeling. Think of sandblasted travertine, wallpaper with natural fibres, Mortex, weathered wood, and more. The chosen palette makes for a design with character without diminishing the presence of a cosy calmness. In addition, you experience a certain tactility, ranging from the walls in the bathroom to the warm rugs in the bedrooms and living area. In the latter, our attention also goes to the enormous windows that look out on the green garden. In short, here you arrive in an interior hat presents you with a number of trumps. In Zoute Schorre, the bar is set equally high for all seventy homes. Isabelle Onraet took care of the interior and, in doing so, scored highly with a varied public. The atmospheric, pleasant appearance can fully charm us and is a good measure for the entire project on its own. We are confident that the future will hold more impressive commissions of this interior architect.
