Everyone wants to experience space and a feeling of freedom at home, but for this young couple, that wish became reality in a very successful way. Namely, Penthouse H fully answers to what they had in mind. With a lot of enthusiasm, we introduce you to this skilled residence in Taipei, Taiwan.
It was JC Design Studio that was asked to give the clients’ penthouse a new look, and most importantly one that incorporated more movement possibilities. The goal was to make the different zones of the home feel less square and confined and make room for an environment that appeared more as a whole. In this way, their daily routines would flourish and there would be more options for social happenings. The team of the studio explains that, because of this, they started by analysing the flow of the central living area. They tried to improve the entire circulation of the apartment from a diagonal ratio, in which they effortlessly succeeded. While entering the renewed space, you now have the advantage of a broader overview. After dealing with the primary zone of the apartment, the remaining work easily followed. That is to say, other structural changes emerged as if the residence itself let them happen naturally. Clean corners changed to softer, more deflected shapes. The thicker walls were given several sorts of openings, more specifically figures in round and rather vertical lines. Consequently, you experience the additionally created space almost like the wind that softly blows through your hair. In terms of colours, the interior consists of darker shades that here and there showcase a burgundy undertone. The wooden flooring forms a successful palette with the bronze kitchen island. Furthermore, the penthouse contains a bedroom with an amazing pair of glass doors, as well as an open dressing that guarantees stylish days.
