An open interior, beautiful views, sober materials and warm colours: what else do you need to turn a residence into a real home? ILB has perfectly understood that, as they show in this beautiful apartment.
The Belgian brand ILB is an expert in interior and stands for timeless design and contemporary creative solutions. Since 1999, they strive for a personal approach, in which the clients’ wishes are turned into a beautiful result. In recent years, the brand developed into a real quality label. With their years of expertise, very punctual planning and optimal service, they bring every project to a successful conclusion. Interior designer Steven Gielen converts the customer's wishes into realistic drawings, each time giving customers a good idea of the final result. Furthermore, the company has its own high-tech lacquering facilities, allowing every colour to be perfectly matched to each interior. ILB follows the latest trends in materials and can thus offer a wide range of possibilities. We are happy to show you more of this two-bedroom residence that the studio recently renovated. The apartment is part of three units of two residences located in a quiet park garden. An open plan was important to fully show off this interior. Two wooden volumes nevertheless separate the spaces somewhat. One volume extends into the kitchen wall, while the other overflows into the fireplace wall. Also interesting is that the living space and the large terrace merge effortlessly. From the entire apartment, the open interior gives you beautiful views of the park garden. In addition, the large windows naturally provide plenty of sunlight.
Bronze details provide the perfect finishing touch
The interior was kept minimalist and has clean lines, but thanks to the limited, calm colour palette and materials such as oak veneer, it still has a warm, serene atmosphere. Marazzi limestone sand was chosen for the floor, while the kitchen worktop is made of quartzite Taj Mahal. Patinated bronze details in the custom-made handles and taps in the kitchen and bathroom provide the perfect finishing touch. The minimalist interior is further elaborated by concealing the oven in the side of the kitchen. The TV and library can also be easily hidden using sliding panels. A few small interventions clearly make a world of difference and create a sense of calm. In this apartment, ILB has made the right choices to design a particularly warm interior, which we think meets all the requirements for the ideal home. The warm, minimalist style makes you feel instantly at peace.
