Jade Simple Design's design director Wen Chao has been working in the city of Chongqing for almost four years. After the operation of the design studio gradually got on the right track, he began to make plans to give himself a home.
Jade Simple Design is a creative design studio based in Chongqing, with a young and interesting creative direction, not limited to a single format. They have always adopted "liberal pragmatism" as a design concept, with the attractive relationship between people, space and object serving as the basis of their design thinking. Their design department includes architecture, landscape, interior and furniture. In the seven years since its foundation, the team has completed almost three hundred projects in various sectors, both commercial and residential.
Imagicasa takes you to the home of designer and founder Wen Chao in Chongqing. The home will fulfil his vision and express the ideal life. While it meets its own needs, the needs of its family members must also be taken care of. The independent characteristics of the personal spirit and the practical needs of the functions of family life will be appropriately integrated and balanced in this space. In addition, it represents not only his application and expression of space design techniques, but also an interpretation of his attitude towards home and life.
Extremely comfortable and tidy, but not minimalist.
The master bedroom became the most important living space, Chao hopes to have the greatest relaxation and freedom here. Therefore, the wall of the main bathroom was opened up so that the laundry room and the closet flow into each other, while also being integrated with the entire bedroom. Jade Simple Design deliberately chose warm colours, such as a soft coffee colour for the furniture, which gives a sense of age and a warm, visual touch to the space. The golden hue comes from brass-like lighting and ornaments, which bring time changes and value to the space. According to designer Wao Chao, the texture of the home is extremely comfortable and uncluttered, but it is not so-called "minimalist". Rather, it is a state that can coexist with people, things and time, and can calmly face the habits of life as it is used. He also hoped that the space would become more architectural and therefore chose the colour off-white for most of the house. Chao created a visual experience of most materials (paint, custom woodwork, slate, curtains, ceramic tiles, etc.) united in the space. In short, thanks to its coordinated beauty, the home is nothing but comfortable.
