At Imagicasa, we have written before about Minus' beautiful minimalist style. Their pure designs bring out the best in every interior and focus on using as many sustainable materials as possible. They also have a concept store in Nieuwpoort and their own design collection. We are very happy to present that collection to you today.
When Wim Carton and Sophie Popelier founded the brand in 2000, it soon grew into a respected name in the interior design world. The family business has its own joinery, where the team's creative ideas are put into practice. Minus works at home and abroad on residential and commercial projects and also opened its own concept store in Nieuwpoort last year. There, they sell Belgian and international design, all in their well-known minimalist style.
For the company, minimalism is not just an interior design style; it is also a way of life that is visible in, for instance, a sustainable use of materials. The five design pieces in this collection are therefore made from sustainable and high-quality wood selected and processed in the brand's Poperinge-based joinery. Craftsmen finish the pieces with pale stain or black lacquer and Corian, a versatile material used for worktops, for example.
The solid oak dining table is the collection's showpiece.
The collection consists of a side table, a dining table, trays, a coffee table, and small plates. The side table is made of solid oak and can be produced with a round or a square top. Solid oak was also chosen for the coffee table and trays. The trays come in grey, white or natural and in two sizes, 26 or 48 centimetres. The plates are round with stem or oblong and come in wood and Corian. Finally, the solid oak dining table may be the collection's showpiece. It has a base on either side that balances perpendicularly. The table has a length of 4 of 5 metres and a top of 4 centimetres thick, but can basically be customised to fit any interior.
The collection is on sale at the Minus concept store. Get inspired there by their creativity and their vision of interior design! Photography by Cafeine
