It is no exception when the value of a functional and pleasant office is underestimated. The Spanish Febrero Studio is happy to demonstrate how amazing a workspace can be to all who would doubt that. Namely, this project in Madrid consisted of the renovation of a classical building that was transformed into an inviting professional environment.
The team of Febrero Studio can confirm themselves how lovely it is to work in an office such as this. This year, they inaugurated a new studio, more specifically in the Justicia district. With a surface of two hundred square metres, they were able to develop a clear view of what they consider a user-friendly but impressive workplace. To start, they discerned two different zones in the building: a meeting and reception area, as well as a work area. Even though both indisputably complement each other and are clearly the result of the same vision, the differences are shown, among others, in the use of materials. For example, the first is characterised by fine and sculptural touches, whereas the latter was furnished rather domestically. Furthermore, there is room for samples and storing materials.
An inviting whole in which working nearly feels like coming home
In the lay-out of the office, you can more specifically find the following functions: a waiting lounge, a meeting room, a work area, a print room, a sample room, a kitchen, and toilets. The selection of materials included, among others, micro cement, natural fibre carpet, linen, tainted oak, Portuguese marble, and limestone. The result is an inviting whole in which working nearly feels like coming home. Colours that are seamlessly aligned with each other guarantee a calm feel, while the absence of any superfluity benefits everyone’s concentration. By placing a plant here and there, the studio also proves to have an eye for the value of an organic finishing.
With this new studio, Febrero Studio demonstrates that they really know what it means to have a nice work environment. By extensively thinking about different zones and functions, they arrived at a result that has attention for all the criteria of a productive and pleasant office.
